Wesley E. Schmidt | 45

September 4, 1978 - March 17, 2024

Wesley E. Schmidt, 45, of 727 Center Street, St. Marys, passed away following a courageous battle with liver disease, Sunday, March 17, 2024, at his residence.

He was born September 4, 1978 in Seattle, WA, son of Ethel Church Schmidt and the late Wayne Schmidt.  Wesley was a graduate of Stanwood High School, Class of 1997 and had a passion for anything involving computers.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his partner of 14 years, Amber Burgess; siblings, Natalie Schmidt and William Schmidt; and his “mother-in-law”, Linda Burgess.

Wesley was a fighter and found joy in some of life’s simplest things.  He was a fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed fine coffee, grinding his beans each morning to start his day.  He knew he was blessed to have care and love all around him and gave it in return to all that he encountered.

A memorial service for Wesley will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 6:00PM with Pastor David Pflieger, officiating.

Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 4:00PM until the time of service.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Amber Burgess at 727 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857.

  1. My prayers for Wesley may he rest in peace. My prayers for you all that your heart is comforted by the Lord..

  2. My mother Sue O’Brien is Wesley’s Father, Wayne Schmidt’s, Niece. I would love it as a child when we drove from Tacoma all the way up to Stanwood to visit. I knew I’d have someone to play with, with Bill, Wes, and Natalie. This is difficult to do. I Love you guys. And I Love you Cousin Wes!

  3. Our sincere condolences for you and your family’s loss. May Wesley rest in eternal peace and may Amber find her strength in all the loving memories she and Wesley have shared. Sending love and prayers from Joyce Kabir and family (Marty Struble’s youngest sister).
