LouAnn Nellis, 67, of 11837 Route 120, Emporium, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 19, 2021, at Penn Highlands Elk.
She was born October 4, 1953, in Austin, daughter of the late Nicholas and Lillian Aiello Botera. LouAnn spent most of her life in Emporium and was a graduate of Cameron County High School, Class of 1971.
On October 30, 1971, in Emporium, LouAnn married Thomas C. Nellis, who survives. She is also survived by three daughters: Tammy Pearsall (Lee), Fantasia Dourado (Frank), and Brittany McKelvey (Chris); and by two sons: Thomas C. Nellis, Jr. (Amy) and Nicholas Nellis (Heather). LouAnn was the loving grandmother of Alyssa Hanes (Richard), Brock Pearsall (Natalie), Alex Pearsall (Kylie), Jasmine Johnson (Jordan), Devin Nellis, Darien Nellis (Brandon), Dominic Nellis (Cassie), Freya Nellis, Joanna Dourado, Christopher Dourado, Jonathan Dourado, Sophia Dourado, Anisha Dourado, Anthony Dourado, Melania Dourado, Maddison Dourado, Evelyn Dourado, Katie McKelvey, Annabelle McKelvey, and Dakota McKelvey; as well as great-grandmother of Nico, Emmie, Brently, and Moxson. Also surviving are her sisters: Nancy Young (Wayne), Norma Major (Steve), Janie Burlingame (Les), Bonita Smith (Harry), and Paula Copenhauer; and by her brother, Nicholas Botera (Sherri).
In addition to her parents, LouAnn was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Accristo.
LouAnn was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and was very devoted to the Blessed Mother. She was also a member of the Blue Army.
LouAnn was a homemaker and of all her accomplishments, her family was her greatest joy. She had a big heart and her greatest passion was children, including the many children who entered her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Monday, July 26, 2021, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Michael Gabler, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday morning, from 9:00 until 10:30 AM.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 or to a favorite charity.

It’s taken me a while to write this, mainly because my heart doesn’t want to believe you are no longer physically with us. You will always be in our hearts and cherished memories.
Lou Ann, I didn’t consider you my sister-in-law; no, to me, you were one of my sisters. I barely remember a time when you were not part of my life. I’ll always remember your sweet smile, positive attitude, and our many years together. You were much loved. And even though the wonderful memories will remain in my heart, your absence from our lives will leave a great void. I will miss you terribly.

LouAnn was truly an exceptional person, and will be deeply missed by everyone. Know that we are with you, and wish you the greatest strength through this painful loss.
My loving sister I will never have another person in my life like you, so kind and thoughtful of others. You taught me to love with all my heart. You were there for me when I needed you. and loved me through good and bad never judging me or anyone else . A true God-loving person I will miss you every day of my life. You were always an angel now you have your wings.

She was the sweetest, sweetest lady……
I still remember you dancing to “Moves Like Jagger” at my wedding. You laughed and twirled, saying “Hey, I like this!” I don’t know what more to say other than I laugh everytime I hear that song now. Love you, Grandma.
I will miss my big sister. She is with mom and dad now in heaven. What a beautiful and a happy person. I do not know how earth will ever be the same without her here . Hearts are broken! GOD BESS love Bonita
RIP Sweet Angel
You are sorely loved and missed by us all. Oh, so many sweet memories. You were my best friend in school. We had so many laughs & tears together. I had introduced you to our brother Tom. We went to our prom together, piling in the car laughing, joking, having fun. We traveled several states together laughing & having fun. And behold, a year later you became our sister-in-law ! You will always be remembered by your radiant smile, your love for our Lord, your love for family & your passion for crafts. May The Lord Give Us All The Strength & Comfort In This Trying Time Ahead.
May you feel the love of God’s embrace during this time. May His peace flood you with the treasured memories you all shared. I will always remember LouAnn’s beautiful smile and the ability she had to always make you laugh (often to the point of tears rolling down our face).
