Jane D. Klaiber | 85

December 27, 1936 - August 28, 2022

Jane D. Klaiber, 85, of 602 Virginia Road, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 28, 2022, at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born December 27, 1936, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Albert and Dolores Nicklas Wiesner.  Jane was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1954.

On October 26, 1957, in the St. Marys Catholic Church, Jane married Allen T. “Butzie” Klaiber, who survives.  They were blessed with over 64 years of marriage.

In addition to her husband, Jane is also survived by her daughter, Linda Kalimon (Ken) of Pittsburgh; seven sons: Jeffrey Klaiber (Deb) of Lyman, SC; Daniel Klaiber (Judith) of Russell City; Timothy Klaiber (Lori) of Mercer; Douglas Klaiber (Hilary) of Sandwich, MA; Peter Klaiber (Lisa) of Claypool, IN; Andrew Klaiber (Kathy) of Trumbull, CT; and Patrick Klaiber (Leah) of Pittsburgh; 22 grandchildren:  Matt, Katie, Randy (Sharon), Heath (Kelly), Leah (Troy), Deidre (Mark), Kyle (Nicole), Dylan, Erica, Ross, Adam, Rachel (Jon), Cayley (Andy), Hannah (Colby), Aidan, Olivia, Owen, Daphne, Gwen, Sarah, Nick, Ryan ; 18 great-grandchildren; and by her brother, Donald Wiesner of Coral Gables, FL.

Besides her parents, Jane was preceded in death by two brothers: Gale and Mark Wiesner.

Jane was a member of the St. Marys Catholic Church and will be remembered for the great love and commitment she had for her children.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Thomas More Sikora, OSB, Pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 325 Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857.

  5. We didn’t see her often, but when we did, she was always so much fun. She was such a beautiful lady, inside and out, and we know she will be missed.

Mrs. Klaiber was very kind, generous and thoughtful, we have lived across the street for 10 yrs, she loved the kids in our neighborhood and often would send over cookies and other goodies, she will be missed. May she rest in peace, prayers for everyone. Your neighbor’s at 601. (P.s.) if the family needs anything please ask, if parking is needed, please feel free to park in our front yard along the road.

  8. Will always remember how important the 4th of July celebration was for both of your parents! They went all out, food, drinks and on a table with the candelabra! So fun! Your dad and the Manhattans for everyone!
