Mae Bilodeau Yale Serianni died on Monday, November 13, 2023 at her home at 133 Edward Road in St. Marys with her family present.
She was born in Toby, PA on May 24, 1934 to the late Frederick and Millie Matilda Bish Bilodeau. Besides being predeceased by her parents, she was preceded in death by her ten siblings: Rachel Reichard, Francis Strum, Twila Moyer, Ruth DePonceau, Alice Desantis, Dolph Bilodeau, Grace Keech, LeRoy “Bud” Bilodeau, Leo Bilodeau, and John Bilodeau in infancy.
Mae was married twice. Her first was to the late, Legrand “Cubby” Yale. Children from that marriage are: Marcia Yale, who died in infancy, Brenda (Randy) Feikls, and Tracy (Steve) Simon; grandchildren: Dylan (Brittany) Feikls, Ryan Feikls, Trent Feikls, Cara (Keith) Gore, and Hanna (Eric) Cooper.
Her second marriage was to Richard “Dick” Serianni, who survives. Mae’s step-sons include: Thomas Serianni, Robert (Lorna) Serianni, and Richard (Pamela) Serianni; step-grandchildren: Ryan (Cara) Serianni, Noah Serianni, and Angela Serianni.
Mae always delighted in hearing about the happenings of her great-grandchildren: Kayden Gore and Maeve Cooper.
Being the youngest in her family, Mae took care of her mother and helped some of her other siblings in their later years as well as acting as a mother to her younger nieces who were without parents.
Mae was a talented seamstress having learned how to sew from her mother. She put it to good use making her high school cheerleading uniforms, teaching 4H members how to sew, and even making clothes including wedding dresses. She made afghans and was an expert doing alterations on any type of clothing.
Mae worked at various places during her life. After graduating from Kersey High School, Mae went to work at Stackpole Carbon to support her mother. After her mother died, she married Cubby and worked at Berman’s Department Store. Her pride in her appearance led to her placement in the cosmetic department. Besides her employments as a waitress and receptionist, she is remembered for her work at the Thrift and Eckert Drug Stores in the St. Marys Plaza where she spent time in the cosmetic department consulting and doing makeovers.
Mae as a Protestant by Faith and was previously affiliated with the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches in St. Marys and most recently attended the Faith Baptist Church. Many have enjoyed her delicious desserts, especially her pies, which she made for church functions.
She was very active and had many interests. While in school, she was helpful and popular and would take time to fix fellow students’ hair. She played the leading role in her Kersey High School play, “A Date With Judy”. She loved to dance and spending time on East Branch Dam, boating and water skiing.
A funeral service will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00AM with Pastor Don Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
Visitation will be in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 10:00AM until the time of service.
Memorial donations, if desired, may be sent to the Christian Food Bank, PO Box 1033, St. Marys, PA 15857.

Wish I knew Mae had passed away at home. As the eldest Serianni she supported me, and I was blessed to have known her. We had a lot of fun. Condolences to the family members yet sad I did not know she passed away for several months.

Mae always had a smile on her face, a twinkle in her eyes, and an upbeat attitude. She was a very outgoing and positive person.
Brenda and Tracy … so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. As one of my mom’s best friends she was a big part of my childhood memories! Not only was she beautiful but she was funny and kind. Will never forget her laugh and smile.
