Mark G. Auman, Sr., 69, of 18798 Bennetts Valley Highway, Weedville, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020, at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born May 20, 1951, in Ridgway, son of the late Genevieve M. Copella, and Jerome W. Auman.  He was a retired employee of Powder Metal Products, now MPP, retiring after 47 years of service.

On January 9, 1971, in the St. Joseph’s Church in Force, Mark married Dolores L. Serafini, who survives.  He is also survived by his daughter, Tracy L. Smith (Charles) of Weedville; two sons: Mark G. Auman, Jr. (Connie) of St. Marys and William J. Auman of Weedville; five grandchildren: Anthony J. Auman, Genevieve Smith, Morgan Auman, Faith Smith, and Leanna Smith; three sisters: Odilia Hoffman and her husband Jerry, Mary Harter, and Clare Anderson; and by three brothers: Thomas Auman, John Auman, and Jerome Auman II.

Mark was a life member of the Jay Township Volunteer Fire Department and served as a forest fire warden.  He was instrumental in starting Boy Scout Troop 180 where he was able to share his love for the outdoors.  Mark enjoyed fishing, camping, dirt track racing, and had a special affinity for birds.  He enjoyed making jewelry for the most important people in his life, his family.  He had a lust for life.  There was nothing that would stop Mark from truly enjoying the life that he had.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Joseph’s Church on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Mark Mastrian, Pastor, officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
