Sean E. Bobenrieth, 54, of Kersey, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 at his daughter’s house after a lengthy illness.
He was born March 14, 1968 in St. Marys, son of the late Anthony “Buck” and Linda Keller Bobenrieth. He was a lifelong resident of the area, attended St. Marys area schools, and was a truck driver, spending most of his working career with Eagle Express.
He is survived by his wife Tammy Perkins Bobenrieth; two daughters: Jacquelyn Shuttleworth (Jonathan) of St. Marys and Jessica Potthoff (Jordan) of St. Marys; two step-daughters: Casey Blessel of St. Marys and Rusty Lawson of St. Marys; one step-son, Matthew Lawson of St. Marys; seven grandchildren: Lewis, Rhett, Audrianna, Lydia, Adeline, Quintyn, and Annaliese; three step-grandchildren: Kaylynn, Aaden, and Parker; one sister, Christine Anderson (John) of Ridgway; three brothers: Anthony Bobenrieth, Jr. (Bernice) of Toby, Brian Bobenrieth (Jackie) of Daguscahonda, and Christopher Bobenrieth of St. Marys; many nieces and nephews; and by a his soon-to-be first great-grandchild.
Along with his parents, Sean was preceded in death by his daughter Seana E. Bobenrieth on October 2, 2016.
Sean lived quietly in the woods with his friends and embraced the beauty of his natural surroundings. He enjoyed music, hunting, fishing-especially in Montana with his parents and older brothers, and camping with his parents and grandchildren. He could be found on the country trails riding his ATV or on the open road on his motorcycle. Above everything else, Sean put his family first. His love for them had no limits. “If you always do the next right thing, you can’t go wrong”, was one of his favorite pieces of fatherly advice. He will be missed.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM on Monday, July 11, 2022 at St. Boniface Church with the Rev. Jeffery Noble celebrating.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 E. Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.

Six years ago when we were back East Sean was really good to me and my girls. Since then we’ve had long conversations over the phone. He was definitely a character. R.I.P. cousin.
