Vivian "Jeannine" (Parks) Schreiber | 92

July 21, 1932 - December 3, 2024

Vivian “Jeannine” (Parks) Schreiber, 92, a resident of Christ the King Manor, DuBois and formerly of 185 Center Street, Elk Towers, St. Marys, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Christ the King Manor after a brief illness.

She was born July 21, 1932, in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Lawrence L. and Vivian (Klase) Parks. Jeannine attended elementary school in Johnsonburg and high school in Sunbury, PA. She was most recently employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Elk Haven Nursing Home.

Jeannine is survived by her son, Benjamin Schreiber (Diane) of St. Marys; her daughter-in-law, Carol (Krug) Schreiber of St. Marys; five grandchildren: Benjamin Schreiber, Jr., Thomas “T.J.” Schreiber (Alisha), Anissa Vollmer (Craig), J. Adam Schreiber, and Tracy Woods; great-grandchildren: Dakota Schreiber, Shaun Schreiber, Wynter Rayne Schreiber, Summer Shyne Schreiber, Kalie Carberry, Blake Vollmer, Christian Vollmer, Lucas Schreiber, and Ethan Schreiber; and by one great-great-grandson, Weston John Carberry.

In addition to her parents, Jeannine was preceded in death by her son, John Schreiber on June 25, 1972; two sisters: Ruth Lewis and Audrey Miller; and by five brothers: Bruce L. Parks, Richard J. Parks, Harold D. Parks, Lawrence L. “Bud” Parks, Jr., and Calvin M. Parks. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Jeannine lived a simple life and her family meant everything to her. She loved spending time with them and keeping in touch with her numerous nieces and nephews.

To honor Jeannine’s wishes, funeral and committal services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery in Johnsonburg.

  1. Jeanine was a true servant of our Lord. Always so willing to share and teach those around her. Her stories and lessons were inspirational. Even while she was waiting to go home to be with our Lord, she never gave up on sharing His word. She was very loved and will be missed.

  3. Dearest Jeannine. You were always so beautiful both on the inside and out. I always cherished hearing your stories of our family and will hold your memory deep in my heart. When we last spoke, you told me you were ready to go be with our Heavenly Father, who I know will welcome you with arms wide open, and your parents and siblings. Please give my Dad a giant hug for me. Your commitment to honoring our lord and savior was so inspiring, and I must say, I aspire to be the wonderful person you always were and hope to live a long and joyful life as you did.
