Mary A. Cadori, 91, of 168 State Street, St. Marys, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021, at Penn Highlands Elk, after a brief illness.
She was born February 1, 1930, in St. Marys, daughter of the late James A. and Johanna Hammer Valentine. Mary was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1949. She was a dental assistant for Dr. Roberts in St. Marys.
On June 16, 1956, in St. Bartholomew’s Church in Crabtree, PA, by Rev. Aquinas Brinker, OSB, Mary married George A. Cadori, who preceded her in death on November 24, 1999.
She is survived by her niece, Karen Cadori-Yanek and her husband Steve of DuBois; her great-niece, Kimberly Cadori and her children, Mia and Collin Reitz, of DuBois; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Frannie.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, James Valentine.
Mary was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. She would support any fundraiser by the Catholic Church or Catholic charity especially if there was a raffle involved or the sale of a nut roll. Mary loved to shop, especially enjoying her weekly trips to DuBois and shopping throughout the state.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral and committal services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
