Dennis C. Miller, 74, of 120 Hickory Street, Kersey, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, after a lengthy illness.
He was born February 8, 1947, in Philipsburg, son of the late John and Marie Merat Miller. Dennis had been a resident of the area since 1953 and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1966. He was a retired employee of Sylvania, retiring in 2005 after more than 30 years of service.
On May 11, 1968, in the St. Boniface Church, Dennis married Sandra J. Armanini, who survives. He is also survived by two sons: Brian Miller and Scott Miller and his wife Laurie, both of Kersey; two grandchildren: Michael and Stephanie Miller; a sister, Judy Thompson and her husband Bill of Ridgway; a brother, John Robert Miller and his wife Donna of Williamsport; a sister-in-law, Sandra Miller of St. Marys; and by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Miller, at birth; and by a brother, Dale Miller.
Dennis was a member of the St. Boniface Church and was a Sergeant in the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of the Kersey Knights of Columbus, a member of the Dagus Mines American Legion, as well as a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 720, in Kersey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Ross Miceli, Pastor, officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the Fox Township Servicemen’s Burial Detail. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in the St. Boniface Church Gathering Space on Saturday morning, from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the St. Boniface Church, 355 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 or to the American Legion Post 511, 196 Skyline Drive, Dagus Mines, PA 15831.
