Joyce E. Fantechi, 83, of 136 Ramber Road, St. Marys, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021, at Penn Highlands Elk, after a lengthy illness.
She was born January 18, 1938, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Andrew and Alice Herbstritt Bauer. Joyce was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1955. She was a retired employee of Riverside and BiLo, retiring after 33 years of service.
On June 14, 1958, in the St. Boniface Church, Joyce married Lawrence L. Fantechi, who preceded her in death on December 16, 2011.
She is survived by her daughters: Sharon Kraft and her husband Robert of Lititz, PA and Barbara Scheetz and her husband Brian of Ellicott City, MD; her son, Steven L. Fantechi and his wife April of St. Marys; eight grandchildren: Kayla, Lindsay, Dalton, Jonathan, Garrett, Hunter, Rachel, and Travis; by two sisters: Janice Sennett of Chapel Hill, NC and Gloria Seymour and her husband Douglas of Burke, VA; and by her brother, Thomas Bauer and his wife Joanne of Kersey.
Joyce was a member of the Queen of the World Church, as well as the Rosary Altar Society and St. Anne’s Society. She loved playing cards and enjoyed reading and playing Bunco with her friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Jeffery Noble, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.

Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday morning, from 9:30 until 10:30 AM.

We will miss you Aunt Joyce. Your smile and laughter will never be forgotten. My best memory will always be the great time we had on the Alaskan cruise! May you rest in peace. Much love and prayers to your family.
